The Origin

From Master Mechanic to Roof Rack Manufacturer

The Walger Works roof rack was not designed at a desk. It was developed in a workshop where vehicles are serviced every day, by people who understand what an add-on part has to withstand in daily use and off-road.

Robert Walsemann, master mechanic and founder of Walger Works GmbH, knows the Mercedes G-Class from thousands of hours on the shop floor. What began as his own need, a roof rack lighter, flatter and better engineered than anything on the market, became the product.

The team, two master mechanics and an engineer, combines hands-on workshop experience with engineering expertise. Every roof rack is built, tested and personally delivered from Ostrach.
